December 21, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  Coming off a 66-55 win at Earlham, the DePauw men's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday, December 29, when it competes in the Defiance College Purple and Gold Financial Tournament.

DePauw (7-2) opens play in the tournament's first game against Adrian College (4-4) at 5 p.m. Host Defiance, coached by former DePauw assistant Kyle Brumett, is 7-2 and takes on Ohio State University-Lima in the second game at 7 p.m. Tuesday's losers battle for third place on Wednesday, December 30, at 5 p.m. while the winners face each other at 7 p.m.
