#6 DePauw Leads after Opening Round of Katman Klassic

April 10, 2010, Danville, Ind. —  Sixth-ranked DePauw shot an opening round 325 and leads the Katman Klassic by two strokes over fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan (327) and three strokes over ninth-ranked Olivet (328).

Franklin, ranked 23rd in Division III, is fourth at 329, while Wittenberg is ffith at 337 and Benedictine (Ill.) is sixth at 416. Second and final round play at the Twin Bridges Golf Club begins tomorrow morning.

DePauw's Natalie Gough, playing as an individual, leads with a 77, while teammate Camila Romero and Wittenberg's Meghann Greene are tied for second at 78.

Other DePauw opening round scores included: Taylor Beaty 80 (tie-7th), Kelly Gaughan 83 (tie-12th), Erin Kielty 84 (tie-14th) and Ali Rifkin 84 (tie-14th). Playing as indivudals, Meagan Hayes 86 (tie-21st), Samantha Stahler 87 (24th).
