Skrenta and Softball Staff Earn Regional Honors

softball_2010_coaches.jpgAugust 16, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw head softball coach Bonnie Skrenta and her coaching staff were selected as the NCAA Division III Central Region Staff of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Skrenta and assistants Haleigh Spencer and Bob England directed the Tigers to a 40-9 overall record including a regional title in May. The Tigers finished in a tie for fifth at the NCAA Division III Championship.

Completing her eighth season as DePauw's head softball coach, Skrenta has posted a 219-104-1 record including a 180-39 mark over the last five seasons. She's led DePauw to its only four NCAA postseason appearances in school history with a pair of fifth-place ties in 2007 and 2010. Skrenta and her staff earned similar honors in 2007.
