Tiger Field Hockey Team and Seven Individual Earn National Academic Honors

2009DePauw_fhTeam2.jpgApril 1, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  Seven DePauw student-athletes have been selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad and the team was honored as well. The complete team is available here.

Senior Sarah Riffle as well as juniors Liz Attewell and Katie Sowar, sophomore Sarah Maher and freshmen Katie Broecker, Addie McDonnell and Hannah Weigel earned spots on the national academic squad for having at least a 3.30 first semester grade point average. Riffle, Sowar and Attewell each made their third appearance on the squad.

As a team, DePauw was one of 101 Division III programs with a first semester team grade point average of at least 3.0.

DePauw finished the 2009 season with a 12-8 overall record and second at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.
