Women's Soccer Shuts Out Rose-Hulman in Opening Contest

September 1, 2010, Terre Haute, Ind. —  Three first-half goals propelled DePauw to a 4-0 win at Rose-Hulman in the season opener for both schools.

Alexandra Ehr scored on Dana Sprague's assist at 13:16 before Sophia Da Silveira scored twice in a span of 1:28 with the second coming on Julia Drummond's assist. Dana Sprague rounded out the scoring at 50:00 with Angela Cotherman assisting.

Lauren Palfrey totaled two saves in recording the shutout, while Julie Brennan had seven for the Engineers. DePauw outshot the hosts, 17-5, and held an 11-1 edge in corners.

DePauw travels to the University of Chicago on Sunday for a 2 p.m. CDT game.
