DePauw Puts 2-0 Football Record on the Line against Sewanee

September 24, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw takes a 2-0 overall record and a 1-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference mark into tomorrow afternoon's football contest against visiting Sewanee. Kickoff from Blackstock Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
The Tigers opened the season with a 45-16 win over Rose-Hulman and then won at Centre, 21-16, in the SCAC opener. DePauw, the defending SCAC co-champions, are the preseason pick to win the 2010 title.
Sewanee is 1-2 on the season after last Saturday’s 38-0 loss at Hampden-Sydney. They opened the season with a 33-14 win at Earlham before losing by a 48-17 count against Washington & Lee.
DePauw leads the all-time series 11-1 after last year’s 3-0 win in a downpour at Sewanee. The Tigers have won 10 straight in the series with Sewanee’s only win coming in 1999 by a 33-14 score at Sewanee. DePauw has won all six contests played in Greencastle.
