Tigers Lead Small College Classic

September 25, 2010, Clayton, Ind. — Fourth-ranked DePauw shot an opening-round 312 and leads the DePauw Small College Classic by eight strokes over North Central College. Wittenberg is third at 327 an Hanover is fourth with a 342. Play at the Deer Creek Golf Club wraps up tomorrow afternoon.
DePauw's Natalie Gough leads the field with a 75, while North Central's Marisa Miko is second with a 77 and DePauw's Taylor Beaty in third with a 78.
Other DePauw scores included Paige Gooch in a tie for fourth with a 79 followed by Kelly Gaughan in seventh with an 80 and Camila Romero in a tie for 15th with an 84.
Playing as individuals for the Tigers, Abby Dickey is tied for 11th at 82, while Ali Rifkin, Sam Stahler and Kelsey Smith are tied for 23rd at 86. Camille Veri is tied for 37th with a 90.
