Tiger Women Finish Second at SCAC Championships

October 30, 2010, Seguin, Texas — DePauw totaled 63 points and finished second at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championships. Rhodes won with 19 points and Centre was third with 95.

DePauw's Jess Macy finished seventh in 23:15.8 followed by Claire Hollis in ninth in 23:24.5, Lisa Becharas in 12th in 23:34.9 and Siri Retrum in 13th in 23:35.7. All four earned all-conference honors for finishing in the top 14. Hollis and Macy each earned the distinction last year.

Lindsey Bauman rounded out DePauw's scorers in 22nd in 24:20.1. Rhodes' Taylor Stephens won in 22:22.1.

The second-place showing ended DePauw's streak of seven straight championships.

DePauw competes next at the NCAA Regional in Holland, Mich., on November 13.
