Lauer Seeded Third at NCAA Track and Field Championships

March 10, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw senior Courtney Lauer enters this weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships with the third-highest pentathlon score in the nation.
Lauer improved upon her provisional score after winning the event at last Friday's Multi-Event Last Chance Meet at Wisconsin-Whitewater with 3,361 points.
The NCAA Championships are hosted by Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, with complete information including links to streaming video are available through the official site.
Lauer, who earned all-America honors at the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a sixth-place showing in the heptathlon, begins competition tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. with the 55-meter hurdles. The remaining four events will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the previous event.
