Five Swimmers Represent DePauw at NCAA Men's Championships

92479March 22, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. —  The 19th-ranked Tigers are represented by five student-athletes at the NCAA Division III Championships. The Championships begin Wednesday and continue through Saturday at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

Sophomore Matt Kukurugya will compete in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday with the ninth fastest time and then on Saturday in the 200 breast where he has the 14th best time.

Senior Josh Baugh, junior John Montgomery, and freshmen Jack Burgeson and Joe Hessburg will compete in five relays during the Championships. On Wednesday, they'll swim the 200 medley relay where they have the 22nd fastest time.

On Thursday, they'll compete in both the 200 free and 400 medley relays. They have the 16th best time in the free relay and 20th in the medley.  

They'll compete in Friday's 800 free relay where they have the 17th fastest time and, on Saturday, the four will swim the 400 free relay where they are 23rd.

DePauw finished 13th at last year's Championships.
