#19 DePauw Sweeps Doubles but Drops 5-4 Decision to #16 Chicago

March 22, 2011, Hilton Head Island, S.C. —  After sweeping doubles, 19th-ranked DePauw won only one of six singles matches and dropped a 5-4 decision to 16th-ranked University of Chicago.

Sam Miles and Noah Swiler topped Jan Stefanski and Zsolt Szabo by a 9-7 at the top doubles flight, while Michael Rardon and Hunter Schouweiler defeated Troy Brinker and Neil Karandikar at number two, 9-8 (7-3). Reid Garlock and David Moss topped Harrison Abrams and Krishna Ravella at number three, 8-3.

The lone DePauw singles win came at the number-two spot as Miles defeated Szabo 7-6 (8-6), 6-1.

The Tigers face 27th-ranked Carleton at Noon on Wednesday.
