DePauw Women Finish Second at SCAC Track and Field Championships: Lauer Named Athlete of the Meet

April 23, 2011, Memphis, Tenn. — DePauw totaled 150 points and finished second to Rhodes' 204.5 at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
DePauw's lone event winner was Courtney Lauer in the javelin (40.37 meters/132-5). Lauer also turned in all-SCAC performances in the long jump (2nd place; 5.30 meters/17-4.75), triple jump (2nd place;10.81 meters/35-5.75) and the shot put (2nd place; 11.71 meters/38-5). The senior was named the SCAC's Athlete of the Meet as she also finished fourth in the high jump and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.
Other all-conference performances were turned in by: Kathleen Molloy (800 meters, 2nd, 2:18.66), Sam Wong (long jump, 3rd, 5.25 meters/17-2.75), Brittany Sievers (discus, 3rd, 36.88 meters/121-00)
The Tigers' 4x100 relay of Tamesha McGuire, Schavel Morrison, Jackie Boehmler and Chenae White was second in 49.76 seconds and the 4 x 400 relay of Boehmler, White, Molloy and Morrison) in 4:09.17
