DePauw Men's Golfers in Second after First Round at Denison

September 10, 2011, Granville, Ohio — DePauw shot an opening-round 297 and is in second place behind Wittenberg at the midpoint of the Denison Fall Invitational. Wittenberg shot a 283 on the par 71, Granville Golf Course to lead the nine-team field, while Denison is third with a 298.

Ryan Berra paced the Tigers with a 70 which is good for second place, while Brandon Bekkering and Eric Tandy each shot 75 to tie for 14th. Charlie Castino is tied for 21st at 77 and Graham Singer is tied for 31st with a 79. Playing as an individual, ,Nick Nunley is tied for 48th with an 85.

Second and final round play starts Sunday morning.
