DePauw in Third at Small College Classic; Centre Leads by Five Strokes; DePauw in Third

October 8, 2011, Clayton, Ind. — Centre shot an opening-round 297 and leads the DePauw Small College Classic by five strokes over Denison. DePauw is third at 306 in the nine-team field competing at the Deer Creek Golf Club.
Graham Singer leads the Tigers with a 73 which is in fourth place, while Ryan Berra and Kyle Robbins are tied for 12th at 77. Eric Tandy shot a 79 to tie for 21st and Ty Frost is tied for 35th with an 81.
Playing as individuals for the Tigers, Nathan Smith is tied for 12th at 77 followed by Charlie Castino, Nick Nunley and Spencer Strup at 79, Brandon Bekkering at 81 and Andy Hill at 83.
Centre's Patrick Davidson leads the 66-player field with a 70.
Second and final round play begins at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
