400 Free Relay Earns Honorable Mention All-America; Tigers Finish 19th

Indianapolis, Ind. - On the final night of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, DePauw's 400-yard freestyle relay finished 11th and earned honorable mention all-America honors at the IU Natatorium.
Casey Hooker, Alex Alfonso, Jack Burgeson and John Montgomery finished in 3:02.93 after placing 12th in the prelims in 3:04.32.
During the morning prelims, Casey Hooker finished 19th in the 1,650 free in 16:09.87, while John Montgomery was 22nd in the 100 free in 45.53 seconds and Matt Kukurugya was 23rd in the 200 breaststroke in 2:07.23.
DePauw totaled 44 points and finished 19th. Denison won with 600 points, while Kenyon was second with 519 and Emory third with 342.
