DePauw splits weekend games

Allison Baccich recorded a hat trick in the 4-2 win over Bellarmine.

The DePauw field hockey team scored three-second half goals on the way to a 4-2 victory over Bellarmine before dropping a 3-0 decision to Lindenwood. The split leaves the Tigers' record at 6-3.

 

Allison Baccich recorded a hat trick and Jen Fedchak added the other against Bellarmine. Baccich put the Tigers ahead with an early first half score. Bellarmine took a 2-1 lead early in the second half, but Baccich tied the game with 22 minutes left and Fedchak won it with nine minutes remaining. Baccich's third score came with 1:15 left.

 

Jane Schaadt totaled two assists with Caitlin Driscoll and Emily Waterman each adding one. Sara Shalowitz recorded  10 saves in the win and Emily Wiscomb had a defensive save.

 

At Lindenwood, the hosts scored once in the first half and twice in the second in posting the shutout win over DePauw. The Tigers managed just three shots in the game.

 

DePauw hosts Wittenberg on Saturday, September 27 at 1 p.m.
