Tigers win third straight title; Schneider earns medalist honors

Led by a medalist performance from Jessica Schneider, DePauw picked up its third straight tournament championship by winning the DePauw Small College Classic at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Gosport, Ind. The Tigers finished with a 640, while St. Mary's was second at 657 and Southern Indiana finished third at 676.
Schneider, who won were second individual title of the fall, shot a 151 and finished three strokes ahead of Stefanie Simmerman of St. Mary's. Also earning spots on the all-tournament team were Charla Speer of Franklin and Megan Mattia of St. Mary's at 159 and Sarah Gates of DePauw at 160.
Deborah Garriott placed seventh for DePauw with a 164, while Lindsay Amore was eighth at 165 and Lauren Brummett tied for 24th with a 178.
Playing as individuals, Audra Butts was 11th with a 168, Katie Flynn tied for 20th at 177 and Lisa Chambers tied for 36th with a 184.
DePauw returns to action on October 5-6 at the Northern Illinois Invitational.
