DePauw loses at Southwestern 70-54

Georgetown, Texas - The Tigers shot just 36 percent from the floor and dropped their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game at Southwestern by a 70-54 count. DePauw dropped to 12-8 overall and 5-4 in the SCAC, while the Pirates improved to 13-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference.
DePauw led by as many as six in the first half at 21-15, but the Pirates went on a 15-2 run to take the lead for good. Southwestern led at the break, 32-26.
The Tigers closed the gap to 34-31 early in the second half before Southwestern put together a 9-2 run and started to pull away.
Joey Hanger paced the Tigers with 12 points, while Todd Capes grabbed six rebounds. Aaron Bowser led Southwestern with 15 points with Kyle Ellisor adding 12 and Justin Westmoreland scoring 10. Westmoreland paced the Pirates with eight rebounds as Southwestern held a 35-28 advantage on the boards.
