Tigers' win streak snapped at Emory

Atlanta, Ga. - DePauw's six-game win streak came to an end at Emory as the Tigers lost to the Eagles by a 10-0 count. Emory, ranked 12th in the preseason Division III, poll improved to 26-0, while DePauw dropped to 11-9.
Emory jumped out in front early with two runs in the first and two more in the second off of starter Eric Mattingly. They added three each in the fifth and sixth innings for the win.
The Tigers totaled eight hits with Zach Harris collecting three and Ryan Sipe and Kevin McAteer each adding two. Bryan Langbord, Sam Cunningham and Rob Seagear each totaled two hits for Emory as the Eagles finished with 12.
Mattingly suffered the loss and dropped to 1-2 on the season. Tom Mieczkowski improved to 4-0 for Emory.
The Tigers return to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday at Oglethorpe.Back
