DePauw captures Small College Classic title

CLAYTON, Ind. - DePauw shot at two-round 650 to finish 28 strokes ahead of runner-up University of California Santa Cruz and win the DePauw Small College Classic at Deer Creek Golf Club.
The Tigers shot a 321 in the first round and a 329 over the final 18 holes. Albion placed third with a 695. Individually, DePauw's Lindsay Amore and Sarah Gates each finished with a 158 to tie for first, but Amore was awarded medalist honors due to tiebreaking procedures. Ali Murtaugh of DePauw and Erin Smith of Anderson tied for third at 164.
Other DePauw finishers included Kristen Kreigshauser in a tie for 12th at 170 and Jill Schneider in a tie for 19th at 177. Amanda Bollman, playing as an indvidual, tied for 34th with a 187.
DePauw shared or won team titles in six of their eight tournaments this fall.
