DePauw finishes third at Earlham

September 3, 2005, Richmond, Ind. - The Tigers went 3-1 in the opening weekend of play and finished third at the Earlham Quaker Classic.

DePauw opened pool play on Friday with a loss to eventual champion Urbana by a 3-1 (16-30, 30-28, 30-27, 30-28) score. They then defeated Transylvania 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 30-26) and came back today to knock off Taylor-Fort Wayne 3-0 (30-21, 30-14, 32-30).

In this afternoon's third-place match the Tigers defeated Wilmington 3-1 (30-28, 30-19, 26-30, 30-24). DePauw's Liz Pollom earned a spot on the all-tournament team.

The Tigers compete in the Hanover Invitational September 9-10.
