September 12, 2005, Lexington, Ky. - The DePauw men's golf team opened the 2005-06 season by finishing second at the Transylvania Fall Invitational.

The Tigers shot a two-round 599 including a 294 during Sunday's second round to finish just one stroke behind Rhodes.

Josh Abrams finished second with a 142, while Joey Piatek was tied for sixth with a 149. Jordan Voss finished in a tie for ninth with a 151 with Jon Clevenger placing 16th with a 157. Jay Burkhardt tied for 17th with a 158 and Brad Smith was tied for 21st with a 160.

DePauw competes in the Franklin Invitational on September 18-19.
