Romero Finishes in Tie for Seventh in Women's Independent Division at PGA Minority Championship

May 9, 2010, Port St. Lucie, Fla. — DePauw freshman Camila Romero shot a third and final round 79 and finished in a tie for seventh with a 243 in the women's independent division of the 24th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship at the PGA Golf Club.
Cicilia Chudivan of Cal State Monterey Bay won the women's independent division with a 220 followed by Erika Salinas of Sacramento City College with a 225.
The PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship features 21 men's teams and an additional 35 female individuals as well as seven women's squads in addition to 15 female individual players.
Romero now joins the fourth-ranked women's golf team at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., where the NCAA Division III Championships begin on Tuesday.
