DePauw Slips to 1-1 after Loss to Trine

September 4, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Trine scored midway through the first half and played a player down due to a red card in the 50th minute, but the Thunder held on for a 1-0 win over DePauw at Boswell Field. DePauw dropped to 1-1 with the loss, while Trine improved to 1-0-1.
Curtis Holcom gave Trine a 1-0 lead at 23:15 on an assist from Foster Webb. The Tigers did manage a 7-6 edge in shots in the first half.
Trine's Femi Adediji was given a red card at 49:36, but the Tigers couldn't capitalize despite holding a 13-2 margin in shots in the second half.
Overall, DePauw held a 20-8 shots advantage and a 5-1 margin in corners. Nathan Sprenkel recorded five saves for the Tigers while Nick Thon stopped nine DePauw shots.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, September 6, when they travel to Hanover for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
