DePauw Wins Anderson Invitational

Anderson, Ind. - DePauw opened the 2012-13 season by winning the Anderson Invitational at the Killbuck Golf Course. The tournament was shortened to 27 holes due to weather.
The Tigers shot a 303 and topped Olivet and St. Mary's (Ind.) by 20 strokes apiece. Paige Gooch (Jr., Ft. Mitchell, Ky.,/Beechwood) and Kelsey Smith (Jr., Indianapolis, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) shared the individual lead with Hanover's Brooke McKay as each shot a 74. Camila Romero (Sr., Cali, Colombia/Colegio Bolivar) was tied for fourth at 76 followed by Abby Dickey (Jr., Elk Grove Village, Ill./St. Viator) in 10th with a 79 and Jacqueline Carroll (Fr., Upper Arlington, Ohio/Columbus Girls) in a tie for 15th at 82.
The Tigers return to action on September 8-9 at the Indiana University Fall Kickoff in Bloomington.
