Dana Ferguson enters her ninth season as a volunteer assistant women's basketball coach at her alma mater.

Ferguson was an assistant coach at DePauw for three seasons prior to going to Nova Southeastern University in Florida for the 2006-07 season where she was an assistant coach. She returned to DePauw for the 2007-08 season. During her first stint at DePauw, Ferguson was named the 2006 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Graduate Assistant Coach of the Year.

On the court, she was part of a senior class that, at the time, tied the school record for wins by a class as the Tigers finished with an 87-20 mark from 1999-2003.

A four-year letterwinner, Ferguson earned all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors as a senior and finished second in the SCAC Player of the Year voting. She also was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Ferguson set DePauw career records for free throws made and attempted and currently ranks second. She also ranks 19th in DePauw history with 796 career points, fifth in field goal percentage (.528), eighth in free throw percentage (.788), 14th with 482 career rebounds and 120 steals.

She led the Tigers in scoring as a senior and in rebounding her junior and senior seasons. Ferguson was part of the 2002 team that finished third in Division III.

Ferguson graduated from DePauw in May 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree in kinesiology and then earned a master of arts degree in sports management from Indiana State in 2006.
