Tigers advance to SCAC semifinals with win over Oglethorpe

Memphis, Tenn.- Eighth-ranked DePauw put together a solid effort and advanced to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament semifinals with an 80-42 victory over Oglethorpe. The Tigers improved to 23-3 overall with their 13th straight victory. Oglethorpe finished the season with a 7-19 record.
After trailing 4-2, DePauw scored 18 straight points and was never threatened. The Tigers' lead reached as many as 45 midway through the second half.
Amy Argetsinger paced the Tigers with 13 points followed by Sarah Zondor with 11. Caitlin McGonigal scored a career-high 10 and Colleen Powers also added 10. Laine Bradshaw led the Stormy Petrels with 11.
The Tigers will face Sewanee on Saturday, February 28, at 7 p.m. CST in the second semifinal contest. The live WGRE broadcast is available here.
