DePauw women host Calvin in NCAA second-round game Saturday afternoon

DSC_5211.jpgMarch 3, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - The 23-5 DePauw women's basketball team has earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Championship as well as a first-round bye. The Tigers open tournament play with a second-round contest on Saturday, March 5, against 23-4 Calvin College. The Knights defeated Franklin in a first-round game by a 74-60 score.

Tipoff for Saturday's second-round game is set for 3 p.m. and tickets will go on sale when the doors open at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $4 for adults and $3 for non-DePauw students. DePauw students will be admitted at no charge courtesy of the athletics department, but they must show their valid student ID.

The appearance is the Tigers' second consecutive and sixth in the last nine seasons. DePauw has a 7-5 all-time record in NCAA play including a third-place showing in 2002.
