Pruzin Selected to D3hoops.com Preseason All-America Team

pruzin030808.jpgNovember 20, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior guard has been named to the D3hoops.com Preseason Women's All-America Third Team.

A fourth team selection at the conclusion of the 2007-08 season, Pruzin is one of three starters returning from last year's 28-4 team which earned a third straight trip to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals after capturing the program's third consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship.

Pruzin, a first team all-SCAC choice last year, led the Tigers in rebounding (6.3/game), assists (4.2), steals (2.6) and three-pointers with 71. She also was second on the team with 14.4 points per game and with a 40.1 three-point percentage. She enters the season needing just 23 points to become just the 11th DePauw women's player to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

DePauw, ranked third in the D3hoops.com preseason poll and fifth in the coaches' rankings, opens the season on Friday, November 21, against Illinois Wesleyan (#10/#12) in the Washington-St. Louis Tipoff Tournament. Friday's contest is at 5 p.m. CST with the live WGRE broadcast beginning shortly before tipoff.
