Tigers Extend Win Streak to 11 and Home String to 46 with Win over Trinity

January 23, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw scored 12 straight points during a stretch of the second half to extend a nine-point lead to 21 on the way to an 83-56 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Trinity.
DePauw improved to 15-3 overall and 8-1 in the SCAC with its 11th straight win, while Trinity dropped to 12-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play. The win was DePauw's 46th straight at home and 63rd consecutive SCAC victory at the Neal Fieldhouse. It also marked the Tigers' 51 straight SCAC home win.
The host Tigers never trailed and took a 42-31 lead into the intermission. Trinity was within nine at 46-37 before DePauw scored the next 12 and 18 of the next 21 to pull away.
Brooke Osborne and Emily Marshall each scored 14 in DePauw's winning effort. Marshall grabbed a game-high nine rebounds as the Tigers held a 46-25 edge on the boards. Osborne and Katie Mathews each dished out four assists.
Ali Marzella paced Trinity with 12 points followed by Abby Dietert and Danielle Hubenak with 11 each. Dietert grabbed six rebounds and had two assists.
DePauw shot 45.3 percent from the floor to Trniity's 35.3 percent and held a 25-8 advantage in second chance points.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, January 29, at Austin College.
