DePauw Continues Climb in Both National Hoops Polls

20100206_143944.JPGFebruary 17, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — After extending their win streak to 16 with weekend Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference wins at Sewanee and Oglethorpe, 20-3 DePauw has moved up in both national basketball polls.

DePauw totaled 195 points in the D3hoops.com Top 25 rankings and moved up two spots to 17th. They garnered 65 points in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and jumped from 19th to 16th.

Two of the Tigers' three losses this season have come to Washington-St. Louis (6th in both polls) and Thomas More (13th Coaches'/14th D3hoops).

Since the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll debuted in 1999, DePauw has been ranked in the top 25 in 124 of the 167 polls and received votes 163 times.

The Tigers have notched their ninth straight 20-win season and 13th in the last 14 years and have already wrapped up the top seed in the SCAC Eastern Division for next weekend's conference tournament.

DePauw returns to action on Friday, February 19, when it hosts Rhodes at 6 p.m. WGRE (91.5 FM) will carry the game live with live stats available here.
