DePauw places third at Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational; Shaffer sets school record

DePauw finished third at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational with 164 points. Indiana Wesleyan won the meet with 84 points followed by Chicago with 114.
Natalie Shaffer finished third in a school-record time of 18:19 to lead DePauw, while Emily Mason was 30th in 19:30 and Betsy App was 45th in 19:48. Rounding out DePauw's scorers were Liz Ulrich in 50th in 19:50 and Amanda Royalty in 59th in 19:56.
The Tigers return to action when they host the 2003 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1.
