Tigers sweep weekly honors

Greencastle, Ind. - The first-place field hockey team swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's weekly honors as Becca Gaines was named the conference's offensive player of the week and Sara Shalowitz earned defensive player of the week accolades. The 5-2 Tigers swept Sewanee and Rhodes last weekend by identical 1-0 scores.

 

Gaines scored the team's lone goal in the win over Rhodes, while Shalowitz posted two shutouts in goal while recording four saves against Sewanee and seven against Rhodes.

 

The Tigers host Centre on Saturday, September 25, at 3 p.m.
