Tigers remain unbeaten in SCAC play with 2-1 double overtime win over Centre

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Becca Gaines scored with 5:10 remaining in the second overtime to lift host DePauw to a 2-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over Centre. DePauw improved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the SCAC, while Centre is 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

 

Allison Baccich put the Tigers ahead on an assist from Caitlin Driscoll just 6:15 into the game. Centre forced the overtime as Megan Jacob scored with 4:25 left in regulation.

 

DePauw outshot Centre 21-8 and held an 8-6 advantage in corners. DePauw's Sara Shalowitz recorded six saves, while Ann Guagliardo had eight for Centre.

 

The Tigers return to action on October 7 at Lindenwood.
