Tigers lose SCAC semifinal game to Sewanee

DANVILLE, Ky. - DePauw dropped to 10-7 on the season after losing to Sewanee by a 2-1 score in the semifinals of the inaugural Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Centre.

 

Sewanee scored first on Kari Anderson's goal which was assisted by Charlotte Baptiste with 18:51 left in the game. They made it 2-0 on Marcy Tickner's penalty stroke with 7:03 remaining. The Tigers' lone goal came with just 1:46 left as Christin Serenbetz scored unassisted.

 

The Tigers outshot Sewanee 10-5 and held a 4-2 advantage in penalty corners. Sara Shalowitz recorded three saves for DePauw, while Blake Rosen had six for Sewanee.

 

DePauw faces host Centre in the consolation game at noon on Sunday.
