Ellis Named SCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week

85753September 30, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw sophomore Margaret Ellis has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for her performances in the Tigers' games against Bellarmine and Centre.

Ellis scored three goals in the first half against Division II's 8th ranked Bellarmine. Over the weekend, she scored DePauw's second goal in SCAC win over Centre.

Ellis now leads the SCAC with 12 goals; the sophomore is just five goals shy of tying the SCAC career record (36), six goals away from setting a new record.

The Tigers take an 8-1 overall record and a 2-0 SCAC mark into this weekend's conference home games against Rhodes on Friday and Hendrix on Sunday.
