DePauw's NCAC Record Win Streak Ends in 1-0 Loss at Denison

October 29, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Denison's Mia Day scored with just 2:02 left in the game and lifted the host Big Red to a 1-0 win over DePauw.
The 20th-ranked Tigers dropped to 15-2 overall and 13-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while Denison improved to 16-1 overall and 13-1 in the conference. The loss marked DePauw's first shutout defeat of the season and snapped the NCAC's record win streak at 15.
DePauw did have a couple of solid shots in the final minute, but Denison goalie Brittany Benson turned the Tigers away.
DePauw outshot Denison 13-10 and held a 9-6 edge in corners. Benson totaled six saves, while Maggie Steele finished with three for the Tigers.
The Tigers host an NCAC semifinal game on Wednesday, November 2, at 3 p.m. More details will be posted later in the weekend.
