Tigers finish third at Ferris State Invitational

The DePauw women's golf team opened the 2003-04 season with a third-place finish at the Ferris State Invitational in Big Rapids, Mich. at the Katke Golf Course.

 

The Tigers finished with a two-day total of 640, including a 315 in the second round, and trailed a pair of NCAA Division II schools. Grand Valley State won with a 621 followed by Nebraska-Omaha at 624.

 

Deb Garriott (80-78) and Jessica Schneider (82-76) tied for eighth individually as each shot 158. Sarah Gates tied for 11th with a 160 (82-78). Lisa Chambers shot a 167 (83-84) followed by Lauren Brummett with a 168 (87-81) and Lindsay Amore at 174 (91-83).

 

DePauw returns to action on September 14-15 at the Southern Indiana Invitational.
