April 23, 2005, Danville, Ark. - The third-ranked DePauw women's golf team shot a first-round 328 and leads the field by 36 at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at the Chamberlyne Country Club. Trinity is in second with a 364 and Southwestern is third at 366.
Sarah Gates shares the individual lead at 79, while Ali Murtaugh shot an 82 and Lauren Brummett fired an 83. Lindsay Amore completed the first round with an 84 and Lisa Chambers followed with an 86. Kristen Kriegshauser shot an 82 as an individual.
The Championship concludes on Sunday and the Tigers are shooting for their fourth straight conference title.
