11th-ranked Tigers in Third after Opening Round at Wittenberg

April 18, 2009, Springfield, Ohio —  The 11th-ranked Tigers shot an opening-round 326 and are third at the Wittenberg Spring Invitational. St. Mary's (Ind.) leads with a 318, while Allegheny is second at 321.

Natale Gough shot a 79 and is tied for fourth, while Nikki Garza is tied for seventh with an 80. Taylor Beaty shot an 82 to tie for 10th followed by Ali Rifkin in a tie for 21st with an 85 and Erin Kielty in a tie for 24th in 86.
