Second-ranked Women's Golfers Tie for Third at Illinois Wesleyan

April 17, 2011, Normal, Ill. — The second-ranked Tigers shot a 320 and finished in a tie for third in the rain-shortened Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Course. North Central won with a 315, while William Woods was second at 319 and Wisconsin-Eau Claire shared the third spot with the Tigers.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Natalie Gough with a 78 to tie for sixth, while Kelsey Smith and Taylor Beaty each shot 79 to tie for 10th. Paige Gooch tied for 16th with an 81 followed by Kelly Gaughan in a tie for 24th at 82 and Camila Romero in a tie for 42nd with an 85.

Olivet's Amber Conrad was the medalist with a 74.

DePauw competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, April 22-24, at Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
