Megan McCormick is entering her first season at DePauw after coaching at Marian University (Ind.) last season.

McCormick was the head assistant coach for Marian's women’s soccer program and was responsible for planning and leading all training sessions, pregame preparations, scouting and identifying potential student athletes.

McCormick also coached at the club level, coaching the Dynamo FC U17 girl’s squad, and overseeing two other teams as well. Her main duties with the Dynamo included the planning and executing of all training sessions and coaching development. Additionally, she also was a head coach with the Carmel United Soccer Club and coached with the Columbus Express Soccer Club for four years.

A staff coach for Region II with the Olympic Development Program (ODP), McCormick helped train almost 100 athletes. She worked at the high school level as well, coaching at Columbus North High School in 2010. McCormick helped lead the Bulldogs to their first state final appearance, finishing runners-up in Indiana with a 16-5 record.

In her playing days, McCormick was a member of the Ball State University women’s club soccer team and also served as its president and coach. After her time in Muncie was complete, she went on to play in the Women’s Professional Soccer League with the Indiana United for three seasons.

A 2008 graduate of Ball State, McCormick majored in architecture with a minor in Spanish. She is a master’s degree candidate at Marian and holds a USSF C License, a National Youth License and a TOPSoccer coaching certification.
