DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan Battle to 2-2 Tie

September 13, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw jumped out to a 2-0 first-half lead before visiting Ohio Wesleyan forced overtime with two scores in the second half and the teams finished tied 2-2 in two overtimes. The Tigers are now 1-3-1, while the Battling Bishops are 3-2-1.
Lauren Hannan's goal just 4:40 into contest gave the Tigers the early lead and Kristen Ellis followed it up at 38:40 to make it 2-0.
The Battling Bishops responded early in the second half as Addie Bishop scored at 47:48 and Lindsey Patton tied the contest at 58:25.
DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan 25-9 and held a 5-1 advantage in corners. DePauw's Brooke Shipley totaled six saves, while Carly Topper finished with 18 for the Bishops.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, September 19, when they open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action at home against Sewanee at 8 p.m.Back
