Tigers Pick up 10th Win of Season with Shutout over Earlham

October 29, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw posted its seventh shutout of the season in a non-conference win Friday evening over visiting Earlham College. With the 2-0 victory, the Tigers improved to 10-5 on the season. Meanwhile, the loss dropped Earlham to 12-5-1.
Dana Sprague put DePauw on the board at the 18:02 mark, scoring on an assist from Julia Drummond for her team-leading seventh goal of the season. Drummond added a goal of her own in the second half, putting the ball in the top corner of the net at 55:07 to give the Tigers a 2-0 advantage. That score would hold through the end of the contest.
DePauw outshot the Quakers, 12-11, while Earlham recorded a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. Lauren Palfrey and Caroline Kerr made three saves each in goal for the Tigers, while Earlham’s Megan Holthaus posted five saves.
The Tigers return to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play when they host Trinity on Friday, November 5, at 6 p.m.
