DePauw drops SCAC doubleheader at Centre

Danville, Ky. - The Tigers dropped both ends of a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Centre by scores of 3-0 and 6-5. DePauw slipped to 11-18 overall and 2-4 in the SCAC, while the Colonels improved to 14-12 overall and 4-2 in the SCAC.
Leah Tufts hit a three-run homer in the first inning of game one to give Centre all it would need for the victory. In game two The Tigers scored three times in the third to take a 3-1 lead, but Centre came back with two in the bottom of the third and one in the fifth to regain the lead. DePauw again tied the contest with one in the sixth, but the Colonels scored the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh. Each team collected 10 hits.
Erin Grumley picked up both wins for the Colonels including a three-hit shutout in the first. Hillary Enyart suffered the loss in the first game despite allowing just four hits. Lauren Curosh took the defeat in the nightcap.
The two teams square off in a doubleheader on Saturday.
