Four Tigers named to all-SCAC softball team

May 18, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Four DePauw players were named to the all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Team including two on the first team.

Sophomore shortstop Kristy Mahon was the lone player selected to the first team at her position, while classmate Lauren Curosh was one of four outfielders named to the first team. Mahon led the Tigers with a .357 batting average and posted a .969 fielding average, while Curosh was next in hitting at .340.

Sophomore outfielder Nicole Kernan and sophomore first baseman Jessica Krueger earned honorable mention. Kernan hit .306 for the Tigers, while Krueger batted .292 and made just two errors in 301 chances.

The Tigers finished the 2005 season with a 19-18-1 record and earned a spot in the SCAC postseason tournament. The 19 wins were the most by a DePauw team since 2001.
