April 18, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - For the second consecutive week, DePauw junior Lauren Curosh has earned Southern Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. This week she share the distinction with Trinity's Erin Mulvey.
Curosh went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three appearances against Sewanee last weekend. In 12 innings she allowed just six hits and no runs while striking out 11 and walking only two. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with one run and three RBI in Saturday's game one win over Sewanee.
For the season, Curosh entered the week ranked fifth in the SCAC in ERA (2.37), third in opponent's batting average (.216), second in innings pitched (115.1), fourth in strikeouts (57) and leads the league in wins with 14.
The 24-7 Tigers travel to Centre for Saturday and Sunday SCAC doubleheaders.
