Vannatta named to SCAC 15th Anniversary Softball Team

vannatta2002.jpgMay 23, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Former DePauw pitcher Darcy Vannatta '02 was the Tigers' lone selection to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference 15th Anniversary Softball Team.

The 1999 and 2000 SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Year, Vannatta posted 51 wins in her four years at DePauw (tied for second in SCAC history) with an ERA of 2.47 (ninth in league history). She is the SCAC's all-time leader in strikeouts with 399 and is one of just two pitchers in league history to earn First-Team All-SCAC honors four times.

Vannatta earned All-Tournament honors in both 1999 and 2000 and led the league in both wins and strikeouts those same two seasons. Her 612.2 career innings is the second-most in league history.
