Megan Soultz Earns Third All-America Honor

Soultz_Megan_NCAAGame4.jpgMay 20, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  On the eve of her second NCAA Division III Finals appearance in four years, senior pitcher Megan Soultz has earned all-America honors for the third time in her career.

Soultz was an at-large choice to the third team as selected by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She also earned third team honors in 2007 and was a first team choice in 2008.

The Carmel, Ind., resident led the Tigers to their second regional title in four years with Monday's 5-4 win over Ohio Northern. She's led the 39-7 Tigers with a 28-5 overall record with a 1.39 earned run average and has struck out 192 in 226 innings. She's allowed just 172 hits and 53 walks and opposing hitters are batting just .212 against her.

DePauw opens NCAA Finals play tomorrow when it takes on Ithaca in the first game in Eau Claire, Wis.
