MacBeth and Hallett Earn Capital One Academic All-District Honors

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior outfielder Rachel MacBeth and junior catcher Amy Hallett have earned Capital One Academic All-District Seven Division III Softball honors in voting by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Both were named to the first team.
MacBeth (far left), a first team Capital One Academic All-America selection in 2011, has a 3.95 cumulative grade point average while majoring in biochemistry and minoring in religious studies.
She's currently batting .300 and is third on the team with 25 runs and second with 11 doubles while starting and playing in all 36 games for the 26-10 Tigers. MacBeth has been named to DePauw's Dean's List all seven semesters.
Hallett (near left) has achieved a 3.57 cumulative grade point average and majors in kinesiology. She's hitting .400 with team highs of 13 doubles and 10 homers.
Hallett ranks second with 35 runs and 32 runs batted in and has started in all 36 games at either catcher or designated player. The two-time all-region selection is DePauw's career home run leader and has been named to the University's Dean's List three times.
